New Use for an Old Sponge

Ok, so you don’t really use an old sponge, but I’m sure many of us use sponges in our homes. Hopefully it’s an eco-friendly, biodegradable one like this one by Twist.

I am a loofah lover by nature, but what do you do when you’re down to the last sliver of soap? A little bit of creativity and you can use all that soap AND have a handy scrubber.

  • Take a thick sponge and cut a slit in the side of the sponge.
  • Insert the knife to create a “pocket” in the sponge.
  • Insert the remaining remnants of your soap & VOILA!

You now have your own sudsy sponge. Use in place of a loofah or in the kitchen for scrubbing hands after cooking.
This week has turned out to be more hectic than predicted with so much travel. I apologize to the readers for being so slow about posting the repurposeable items.

Tomorrow’s repurposed item: Wipe Container
