Opt for the Bar!

A bar of soap or a bottle of body wash … which is more economical?

The average bottle of body wash is approximately 12 fl oz. Don’t let this fool you! Even though it has more fl ounces per bottle than a bar, it has only about 30 showers in it. Not only is it more expensive, but you are getting less for your money than you think. Bars of soap have been around for many years and there has been a rise in fabulous handmade options. Though they have lost their limelight to the body wash, they are by far the more “green” way to cleanse!

An average sized bar of soap is about 4.5 oz and will last you over 80 washes! To maximize use, place your soap on a soap saver or in a place where water can drain from the bar to keep it from becoming soggy and separating. Think twice the next time you go out to pick up that bottle of body wash. Opt for a bar instead!
