Vintage meets Owl

As you readers know, we moved just a few weeks ago into our new home. We have undergone many updates in the home from floors to walls and even doors. We are slowly but surely getting settled in. Part of settling in is adding our own touch. I have quite the long list of DIY projects that I am slowly working on. So, here’s a little something to get you inspired to do your own upcycling, repurposing, and DIY projects. This project was fun, easy, and fast!

It started with an old picture with an intricate frame from the local thrift store:

I had this odd sized piece of fabric that I LOVE and couldn’t decide what to do with…  This seemed like the perfect way to create something personalized for B.

Take the frame apart, wipe it down, clean the glass, add a little paint…

Cut my fabric to fit and added some new hardware:

Total cost of redo:
$4 for frame +free fabric & hardware from my stash + free paint from previous projects = $4 total

The end result?

Custom art for Brayden’s nursery! Pretty cute if I do say so myself!

What does Brayden think of his new Mama Masterpiece?

We’ll find out tomorrow…

Get inspired. Repurpose. Reuse. Recycle!

– Enjoy
