Try this recipe for homemade dishwashing soap:
Repurpose your existing dish detergent bottle, but rinse out thoroughly.
Combine some all natural soap slivers such as Sadie’s Kitchen Soap (pictured right). Grate whole bars with a cheese grater designated specifically for soap. Add 2 tbsp. baking soda. Add some boiling water to dissolve the mixture. Shake and voila! Homemade dishwashing detergent!
Does you dishwasher stink? Run some water in the dishwater and pour approximately one cup of baking soda or vinegar in the bottom of the dishwasher. Let sit overnight and then run your dishwasher the next day.
If your cutting board smells, rubs a slice of lemon over it!
